Joe McGarry began serving as Dean of the School of Lay Ministry on October 1st, 2925 bringing a deep commitment to faith formation, education, and equipping lay leaders for meaningful ministry. An ordained pastor in the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, Joe also serves as a prison chaplain and is trained in theological education, pastoral care, and adult learning, with extensive experience in Clinical Pastoral Education and continuing formation. His passion lies in helping people grow in their understanding of Scripture, theology, and discipleship so they can serve their congregations with confidence, humility, and joy.
